Deceuninck North America and Duke Energy Use P2 Interns to Reap Savings and Reduce Waste

This summer, Deceuninck North America and Duke Energy participated as host companies in the Southwest Ohio Pollution Prevention Internship Program. The goal of the internship program is to give businesses fresh and innovative ideas about pollution prevention, save companies money, give college students an edge in obtaining full-time employment after graduation, and create and keep technically skilled jobs in Ohio.

Pollution Prevention Interns Available to Industries in Hamilton and Butler Counties

The Hamilton County and Butler County Recycling and Solid Waste Districts, in partnership with TechSolve, Inc., announce the 2012 season for the Southwest Ohio Pollution Prevention Internship Program. Through this program, upper-level college students work with industries to implement pollution prevention strategies.

Ohio EPA created the Office of Compliance Assistance and Pollution Prevention to help businesses comply with environmental regulations. The Hamilton County Recycling and Solid Waste District assists Hamilton County businesses increase recycling and reduce waste management costs through a variety of programs.
