Solid Waste District Prepares for Upcoming Industrial Survey
Hamilton County will be updating its 15-year Solid Waste Management Plan as required by Ohio law. The District will be gathering extensive data on the types and volumes of solid waste being generated by businesses, industries, and residents within the county. A major part of this undertaking is compiling data on industrial solid waste disposal and recycling.

The Ohio Department of
Natural Resources, Division of Recycling & Litter Prevention offers grant funding through its Market Development Program to Ohio’s businesses. The grant funds are intended to support the creation of the infrastructure necessary for successful recycling markets in Ohio.

Environmental Compliance Collaborative Informs Local Manufacturers
The Environmental Compliance Collaborative is a group of local manufacturing representatives that meet regularly to network, obtain information, discuss ideas, and explore solutions to environmental regulatory compliance. Federal, state, and local environmental regulations pertaining to air, water, and hazardous and solid wastes will be discussed by the regulatory agency representatives in a series of upcoming meetings.
