TV Converter Box Coupon Program

 

TV Recycling - Begins May 1, 2009

The District will contractually conduct a TV recycling event from May 1 - December 30, 2009 for residents of Hamilton County, Ohio with 2trg (formerly Technology Recycling Group). The TV Recycling Program will be incorporated with our computer recycling program. Recycling computer equipment will be free. Recycling TVs will have the following charges associated:

60 lbs. or less, $10/TV
Over 60 lbs, $20/TV

Location: 2trg (formerly Technology Recycling Group)  – 11085 Kenwood Road, Building 7, Blue Ash, Ohio 45242 (MAP)

Dates: May 1st through December 30th –
closed major holidays

Time: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday

Saturdays: June 13th, August 8th, and October 10th only from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

 Manufacturers of Sony, Zenith, LG, and Goldstar televisions offer free recycling  year-round with a local drop-off, 2trg (formerly Technology Recycling Group). Click here for more information.

Best Buy
Customers will be able to drop off up to two devices per day at any of the Minneapolis-based retailer´s 1,006 stores throughout the United States. They will accept most consumer electronics, including televisions and monitors up to 32 inches, desktop computers, notebooks, videocassette recorders, DVD players and phones.

A $10 recycling fee will apply to any unit with screens, such as televisions and computers. Customers instantly will receive a $10 Best Buy gift card in exchange for the recycling fee. The fee does not apply in California or for any of Best Buy´s exclusive-branded products, such as Insignia, Dynex and VPR Matrix. Appliances are not covered under the program.
