City of Cincinnati
Yard Waste Drop-Off Service

The City of Cincinnati will resume weekly pick up of yard waste on April 5th, 2010. A separate truck will collect the yard waste and it will be composted versus going to the landfill.

  • Place yard waste at your curb by 6AM on your regular trash collection day beside your household trash and green recycling bin.
  • Place yard waste in a container clearly marked "yardwaste" or put in biodegradable brown paper bags or 90 gallon toters. Yard waste in plastic bags will not be collected.
  • Branches and brush should be tied into bundles no larger than 2 ft. x 4 ft. and individual tree limbs should be no larger than 6 inches in diameter.
  • Raking leaves into the street or right-of-way is prohibited and is PUNISHABLE BY LAW.
  • Residents may also drop off their yard waste at the City-sponsored site.
