Middletown Coke As part of the permit-to-install issued to Middletown Coke, the facility is required to set-up monitors to the measure the concentrations in the air of particulate matter 2.5 microns and smaller (PM2.5), particulate matter 10 microns and smaller (PM10), sulfur dioxide, and various volatile organic hazardous air pollutants. One monitoring site is located on Yankee Road, east of the facility, and the other site is at Amanda Elementary on Oxford State Road. The PM2.5, PM10, and sulfur dioxide monitors are required to be operated for a minimum of five years after start-up of the facility. The volatile organic hazardous air pollutants monitors are to be operated for a minimum of two years after start-up of the facility. |
