Asthma Activity Book:
This great 44-page activity book can be downloaded for free
from Advocate Health Care. Great for teaching lessons about
health and about air quality. (Adobe acrobat required,
free download).
HazeCam:
This is an hourly updated image taken from the roof of our
building in the Clifton area of Cincinnati. You can use these
images to compare the amount of haze in the sky at your school
to here at our building. You can choose to see how far landmarks
are from our camera to aid your comparison. This site links
to HazeCams in other cities, such as, Chicago, Indianapolis
and St. Louis.

Save Planet Polluto This
fun and free CD-ROM game has been developed by the Sacramento
Metropolitan Air Quality Management District under a grant
from the United States Environmental Protection Agency. The
game teaches the causes of air pollution and what can be done
to improve air quality.
Airhead
Emissions calendar and emissions index for many household
products. They also have other great information about air
pollution and your health, and air pollution and your community.
Math & Science Coalition
of southeast Michigan's Earth Science Lessons. Hundreds
of lessons and activities relating not only to air pollution,
but also to water quality, weather, and many other earth science
topics. Lesson are split into early elementary, late elementary,
middle school, and high school.
The Regional Ozone Coalition:
OKI (Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana) Regional Council of Governments,
has resources and links available on their site, about how
to do your share for cleaner air, alternative fuel vehicles,
and much more.
Free Project A.I.R.E Curriculum
(Air Information Resources
for Educators) at this New England Environmental Protection
Agency's site. The curriculum contains warm up exercises on
how to read data and how to make decisions, followed by 21
air quality activities for use in the classroom and a suggested
reading guide.
The Lawrence Berkeley National Lab:
What is Air Pollution: This site contains information about
what air quality is, both indoor and outdoor, and has a number
of activities for you to try in middle/high school classrooms,
such as debate topics, a role-playing scenario, and a soot
experiment.
Alliance
to Save Energy's
web site offers free downloads of many different activities
focusing on energy and air pollution, and conserving energy.
Lessons are available for elementary, middle, and high school.
Also available from the Alliance are fact sheets, information
about the Green Schools: Using energy efficiency to strengthen
schools program, which has pages for students and teachers.
