Can I bring my yardwaste to the sites in a commercial vehicle?
Any type of yardwaste! This includes:
- Grass Clippings
- Leaves
- Prunings
- Brush
- Tree Branches/Tree Trimmings
- Small Tree Stumps (less than 75 pounds)
- Christmas Trees
THE ABOVE ITEMS ARE THE ONLY ITEMS ACCEPTED AT THE SITES.
Yardwaste may be brought to the sites in paper yardwaste bags, plastic bags, and other
containers. Any containers other than paper yardwaste bags will be returned to you. No
loose vegetation will be accepted, except for items such as Christmas trees and small tree
stumps.
All brush or tree trimmings must be:
- Cut into lengths of less than 4 feet
- The diameter must
be less than 1 foot
- Must be bundled (string, twine, etc.)
All yardwaste collected at the Hamilton County
Yardwaste Drop-Off Sites is composted into usable compost. Residents may
purchase this compost at Rumpke's NPK Composting Facility or at Bzak
Landscaping.
The City of Cincinnati Department of Public Works Sanitation Division provides curbside
collection for city residents FREE of CHARGE. Cincinnati residents must
place yardwaste at their curb by 6:00 a.m. on their regular trash collection day.
Yardwaste must be placed in biodegradable brown paper yardwaste bags, trash cans clearly
marked "yardwaste" or 90-gallon toters. Yardwaste stickers are not required.
Yardwaste in plastic bags will not be collected.
Branches and brush should be tied into bundles no larger than 4' x 2'. Individual tree
limbs should be no larger than 6" in diameter.
No, any yardwaste brought to the sites in a commercial vehicle or a
vehicle with commercial license plates will not be accepted.
