“Garbage Is My Bag” Assembly Show*![]() Grades K-8 You only pay $100 (20%). The District will pay $400 (80%). Retail cost: $500 per show. This 45-minute assembly program for elementary schools is an entertaining experience that meets many of the state’s proficiency standards. Jack Golden is the comedic ‘expert’, Dr. T., who delves into a mountain of trash — and an even bigger bag of vaudeville and circus tricks — in search of answers to the problems of solid waste disposal. With a “Ph.D. in Garbology”, a zany and irresistible personality and a marvelous trash-to-treasure-o-matic recycling machine, he juggles and jokes his way through a world of waste. Dr. T delights his audiences while sharing his knowledge that rubbish is a resource that is just too good to throw away. Call Jack Golden for more information or to schedule at (413) 774- 3563 or e-mail him at jgolden@crocker.com. Since 1989, “Garbage Is My Bag” has been helping hundreds of thousands of children around the country explore serious issues about our wasteful habits in the hilarious context of a professionally staged variety show. In elementary and middle schools, Jack Golden, in the role of Dr. T, uses the power of live performance to engage children with facts of our solid waste problems and a positive model of how to solve them. Emphasizing recycling and waste reduction, “Garbage Is My Bag” presents children with rewarding and important ways that they can directly contribute to their home, school and community environment. The goal of the program is to strengthen new attitudes and responsibilities toward our common resources in our homes, communities and worldwide. |
