Hamilton County Communities Recycled 31,985 tons in 2007!
Congratulations, Hamilton County! We increased our recycling by over 600 tons between the first and second halves of 2007! The recycling efforts in Hamilton County saved the equivalent of:

1,744,119 gallons of gasoline -
Enough energy to power 5,136 average homes for an entire year -
26,528 ton reduction in greenhouse gases – or removing 21,095 cars from the road
Over three-fourths of all Hamilton County communities improved their recycling rates between 2006 and 2007. The top five highest recycling rates were:

Madeira 24.53% -
Mariemont 24.42% -
Blue Ash 23.43% -
Indian Hill 19.33%
