District Offers Residents Free Programs in 2008
Are your residents wondering how to dispose of or recycle old pesticides, outdated computers, or yard-waste? The District coordinates many programs so Hamilton County residents can recycle or safely dispose of these special wastes.
Household Hazardous Waste
Starting March 1, 2008, residents can drop off their household hazardous waste for free at two locations.
The southern location at 4650 Spring Grove Avenue is open Tuesdays from 2pm to 6pm and Saturdays from 9am to 1pm.
The northern location at 10163 Cincinnati-Dayton Road in Sharonville is open on Wednesdays from 2pm to 6pm.
Residents can drop off paint, pesticides, fertilizers, automotive fluids and more. The program will run through November 22, 2008. Visit www.hamiltoncountyrecycles.org or call (513) 946-7700 for more information.
Yardwaste Recycling Drop-Off Sites
Residents can drop off yardwaste at three sites in Hamilton County at no cost from March 29, 2008 until November 30, 2008. All three sites are open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
East (Anderson Township) Turpin Farm, 3295 Turpin Lane
West (Green Township) Kuliga Park, 6717 Bridgetown Road

All sites accept brush and tree branches cut into lengths of less than 4 feet and smaller than 12 inches in diameter. Local compost facilities will recycle all yardwaste collected into usable compost. Visit www.hamiltoncountyrecycles.org or call (513) 946-7755 for more information.
