Go Green Challenge
Is your community interested in becoming more “green” by starting a new environmental initiative? Consider taking the Go Green Challenge. You will have access to a network of environmental professionals who can offer expert advice on topics ranging from solid waste to energy efficiency. Your community will also receive free publicity spotlighting your environmental initiatives and public recognition on Earth Day 2008.
Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, the Christ Hospital, the University of Cincinnati, Keep Cincinnati Beautiful, and the Hamilton County Solid Waste Management District have partnered together to create the Go Green Challenge. These organizations are leading by example by initiating major environmental projects, such as facility-wide recycling or constructing LEED-certified green buildings.
Joining the Go Green Challenge is easy. Simply visit www.hcdoes.org/gogreen and fill out the one-page form. Your community will set your own Go Green goal which can range from starting recycling in your administration offices to adopting an environmentally preferable purchasing policy.
Take the Go Green Challenge now and your commitment will be announced on Earth Day 2008. To join the Go Green Challenge or to receive more information, visit the website or call Catherine Walsh at (513) 946-7732.
