Recycling Tonnages Increase in Hamilton County
In the first period of 2008 (January 1- June 30), Hamilton County communities dramatically increased the tons of residential recycling collected. Altogether, communities recycled 1,597 tons more than in the same period in 2007. This is a 10% increase!
In total, Hamilton County communities recycled 17,274.35 tons in the first half of 2008. The communities with the largest increases are listed below with the tons of increased recycling:
Anderson Township, 189.69 tons (15% increase)
City of Cheviot, 35.03 tons (29% increase)
City of Cincinnati, 802.60 tons (15% increase)
City of Deer Park, 105.45 tons (55% increase)
Delhi Township, 67.26 tons (23% increase)
City of Harrison, 30.97 tons (23% increase)
Village of Indian Hill, 48.94 tons (15% increase)
City of Loveland, 90.52 tons (23% increase)
City of Mount Healthy, 54.74 tons (77% increase)
City of Reading, 40.90 tons (49% increase)
