(These are not necessarily awarded for pollution prevention programs, but are aimed to support businesses in Ohio)

Recycling Market Development Grant

The Division of Recycling & Litter Prevention (DRLP) offers Recycling Market Development Grants to Ohio solid waste management districts and authorities to establish projects with cooperating local businesses to enhance and increase markets for recyclable materials collected from residences and businesses in Ohio. Guidelines for this grant are outlined in the Recycling Market Development Grant Application Handbook. Scrap Tire Loan and Grant Program

Loans and grants are available to scrap tire recyclers who locate or expand in Ohio and who demonstrate that they will create new/reuse scrap tire products. Eligible borrowers include any operating business that has a significant presence in Ohio and demonstrates that its fixed asset expansion project will recycle Ohio's scrap tires.

The Third Frontier Action Fund (formerly know as the Technology Action Fund)
Technology Action Fund awards are made on a competitive basis. Proposals are sought at least once a year in focus areas set by the Technology Action Board. The awards are made by the Technology Action Board; subject to approval by the State Controlling Board. The preferred minimum grant request is $100,000.

Proposed initiatives should have the capacity for generating substantial economic growth in the state of Ohio and for creating and/or retaining sustainable jobs.
