Educational Grant Opportunities
 

Ohio Environmental Education Fund
The OEEF grant must be used to enhance the public's awareness and understanding about issues affecting environmental quality in Ohio. Following is a list of eligible activities.

  • Developing curricula for elementary, secondary schools, and universities
  • Providing training in environmental issues for elementary and secondary teachers
  • Providing educational seminars for the public regarding the scientific and technical aspects of environmental issues
  • Providing educational programs on pollution prevention and waste minimization for the regulated community
  • Providing educational programs on regulatory requirements and methods to achieve and maintain compliance for the regulated community (including small businesses)
  • Providing scholarships in environmental sciences of environmental engineering at State colleges and universities

In addition to these activities, the Fund has the flexibility to allow grants to be awarded for creative, innovative projects.

General Grant Program
The General Grant Program has two grant cycles annually. The deadlines are January 15 and July 15. Educational projects that target pre-school through university, the regulated community, and general public audiences are eligible. Grant guidelines are available that detail application requirements and preferred characteristics of all grant proposals.
