Verizon Accepting Old Phones for Charity Program |

Verizon Wireless has started a recycling program that puts wireless phones in the hands of domestic violence victims. Verizon said it will accept any brand of old or unwanted wireless phone to be recycled. The company said it either donates the proceeds to nonprofit domestic violence programs or uses the funds to purchase new wireless phones for victims. Phones can be dropped off at any Verizon Wireless Communications store across the United States, or they can be sent to the HopeLine Program c/o Verizon Wireless, 1776 E. Ellsworth Road, Ann Arbor, Mich. 48108. The donations are tax deductible, Verizon said. . . |
