Complaint Procedures

Complete the Air Quality Complaint Form below or call the hotline to leave a report of an odor, smoke, dust or other air quality concern. The hotline number and online form allow residents to report an air quality complaint 24 hours a day.  The Agency uses a investigation database to record and track every complaint received. Complaints received by the office are forwarded to the inspection staff to determine if air pollution regulations are being violated. Online complaints filed using the online form below  will be addressed within one to three business days.

An Agency investigator may contact you to discuss the issue and obtain more details. Oftentimes, the investigator will make arrangements to make a site visit to verify the air quality problem. If the air quality problem is still present when the investigator arrives at your location, an attempt will be made to trace the origin/source of the problem.

You will be asked for general information relating to your complaint, including your name, address and phone number. You may remain anonymous if you wish. When possible, the Agency will contact you to give any results of the complaint investigation. If you have any additional questions or concerns regarding the complaint program or procedure, please contact Kerri Castlen, Inspection and Compliance Section Manager, at 513-946-7738.
